Puppy chow is a classic holiday treat! The creamy peanut butter, sweet taste of chocolate, the crunch of the cereal ... then to top it all off with sugar gives this recipe 5 stars in our book!
Serves: 9 cups
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 90 seconds
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
9 cups Rice Chex
2 cups powdered sugar
In a large microwave-safe bowl, add in chocolate chips, vanilla extract, butter and peanut butter.
Place bowl into the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each 30 seconds. Repeat this process until all of the chocolate chips have melted, about 90 seconds.
Pour the Rice Chex into the bowl, and stir to coat the cereal.
Then, coat the cereal with powdered sugar and enjoy!
*Tip: Pour the chocolate coated cereal in a large paper bag and then dump in the powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake well until cereal is coated.
